Cyber Intelligence Specialist ISSO

Salary: $80,500 - 149,500 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience; alternatively, 8 years of directly related experience may be accepted in place of a degree. We require an active TS/SCI clearance. We require a DoD 8570 IAT II certification, such as Security+. We prefer experience supporting cybersecurity for DoD information systems under federal, DoD, and contractual security obligations. We prefer working knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CNSSI, and related cybersecurity guidance. We prefer experience with system authorization and accreditation in DoD environments. We prefer the ability to develop, review, and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including SSPs, POA&Ms, contingency plans, configuration management records, and continuous monitoring evidence. We prefer experience with security control implementation, assessment, and remediation tracking. We prefer knowledge of vulnerability management practices, including STIG compliance, patching, system hardening, and follow-up on corrective actions. We prefer experience supporting continuous monitoring to sustain compliance and authorization readiness. We prefer the ability to support cybersecurity incident investigation, documentation, and reporting in line with DoD and contractor procedures. We prefer experience working with system administrators, engineers, program managers, and ISSMs to enable secure system operations. We prefer experience supporting audits, inspections, self-assessments, and government customer reviews. We prefer knowledge of requirements for safeguarding classified information, controlled unclassified information, and other sensitive data. We prefer the ability to provide cybersecurity guidance and awareness support to users and technical teams. Responsibilities: We support the cybersecurity posture of assigned information systems and help ensure compliance with applicable security requirements, policies, and standards. We assist with implementing and sustaining security controls across systems, networks, or enclaves. We monitor system security, review vulnerability scan findings, and help drive remediation efforts. We track POA&Ms and support cybersecurity incident reporting and response activities. We maintain cybersecurity documentation such as SSPs, SOPs, contingency plans, audit artifacts, and related records. We collaborate with system administrators, engineers, program teams, and the ISSM to protect systems and support authorization activities. We help maintain ongoing compliance and authorization readiness through continuous monitoring and coordination.
