Databricks/Informatica Data Engineer

Salary: $135,200 - 166,400 per year Requirements: We are looking for a professional with 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or data warehousing. We need 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, or cloud-based analytics platforms. We require 3+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IICS, or Informatica Cloud. Strong SQL development and performance tuning expertise is expected. You should have experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data integration solutions. A solid understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and master data management is important. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills are needed. Experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Redshift is preferred. Experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments is preferred. Knowledge of Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture, and Data Lakehouse concepts is preferred. Informatica and/or Databricks certifications are preferred. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub is preferred. Experience supporting Federal Government, DoD, DHS, or other regulated environments is preferred. Active Public Trust or Security Clearance is preferred. We are seeking someone with 5-8 years of overall IT experience and a background in designing end-to-end enterprise data platforms. Experience supporting reporting, analytics, AI/ML, and business intelligence workloads is desired. A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required. Responsibilities: We design, develop, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS). We build and tune Databricks notebooks, workflows, and data pipelines for large-scale data processing. We develop and support data ingestion frameworks for both structured and unstructured sources. We implement data transformations, cleansing, enrichment, and validation routines. We create scalable solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake. We collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, analysts, and application teams to define data needs. We troubleshoot and resolve data integration, performance, and data quality problems. We support migration from legacy data warehouses and ETL platforms to modern cloud-based architectures. We develop and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and operational runbooks. We participate in Agile activities, including sprint planning, code reviews, and deployments.
