About the role
About the role We are looking for an experienced IBM z/OS Systems Administrator with strong exposure to IBM Mainframe MQ to support enterprise infrastructure and application environments. The role involves providing technical expertise in IBM z/OS systems, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, collaborating with multiple technical teams, and supporting reliable day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert for IBM z/OS Systems Administration Support and manage IBM mainframe environments, particularly IBM Mainframe MQ Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system and application-related issues Analyze technical problems and provide effective solutions Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and other technical teams Participate in technical decisions and provide recommendations Coordinate with stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues Support system configuration, maintenance, and operational activities Ensure timely completion of assigned technical activities Apply best practices in systems administration, troubleshooting, and support About you Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field At least 5 years of experience in IBM Systems Administration Strong experience with IBM z/OS Systems Administration Experience with IBM Mainframe MQ / IBM WebSphere MQ is highly preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Knowledge of mainframe systems and enterprise infrastructure environments Experience working with multiple technical teams and stakeholders Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently in a technical support environment
