Machine Learning Engineer

Salary: $229,900 - 262,400 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering We require at least 6 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++ We require at least 6 years of machine learning experience using industry-standard frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, along with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn We require at least 6 years of experience working with large-scale distributed systems such as Spark or Ray to prepare AI/ML data We require at least 4 years of experience deploying and operating machine learning solutions in production, including cloud-based production services and Kubernetes-managed, large-scale containerized ML systems Responsibilities: We design, build, and deliver ML models and components that address real business challenges in partnership with Product and Data Science teams We build and scale large multi-tenant platforms that support training and serving ML models at significant scale We use our understanding of ML modeling techniques, data, and feature selection to guide infrastructure decisions We write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment to solve complex problems We work within cross-functional Agile teams to develop and improve software for advanced big data and ML applications We retrain, maintain, and monitor models running in production We leverage or create cloud-based architectures, technologies, and platforms to deploy optimized ML models at scale We build efficient data pipelines that supply ML models We apply continuous integration and continuous delivery best practices, including test automation and monitoring, to support successful deployments We ensure code is well managed to reduce vulnerabilities, models are governed from a risk perspective, and ML practices align with Responsible and Explainable AI We use programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java Technologies: AI Big Data Cloud Golang Support Java Kubernetes Machine Learning PyTorch Python Scala Spark TensorFlow numpy pandas AWS Azure CI/CD GCP Model Training More: At Capital One, we are seeking Machine Learning Engineers who are passionate about using cutting-edge open source frameworks, advanced algorithms, and emerging technologies to help drive major AI transformations and scale production models.
