Principal Build Support Engineer

Salary: $107,500 - 204,500 per year Requirements: Active U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance. Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) plus at least 8 years of prior relevant experience. Hands-on experience with APEX, ADA 95, Git, and ClearCase version control tools. Background in software integration and testing for embedded or real-time systems. Experience using scripting languages such as Python or Bash to build automation tools and test frameworks. Familiarity with software release management and deployment best practices. Exposure to Agile development methods and CI/CD practices. Strong attention to detail for spotting and documenting anomalies or inconsistencies in software performance. Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for sharing defects, progress, and test outcomes with stakeholders. Responsibilities: Act as the technical lead for build system architecture, configuration, maintenance, and scalability on a Patriot software program. Investigate and resolve complex multi-component build issues across Ada and shell scripting languages. Partner with software development, integration, and DevSecOps teams to support efficient, secure, and compliant build processes. Maintain and enhance build tools, including APEX, VectorCast, Static Analysis, and program-specific utilities. Mentor junior team members and provide build support to internal and external customers. Support program milestones, releases, audits, and configuration management needs.
