As a Principal Solutions Architect , you will play a key leadership role in shaping technology direction, guiding cross-functional initiatives, and enabling high-impact delivery. You’ll be responsible for leading complex solution engagements, from discovery and advisory to implementation, while mentoring architecture talent, strengthening practices, and contributing to company-wide strategic growth. This role is ideal for a seasoned architect with strong consulting capabilities, a track record of hands-on project delivery, and the ability to scale architectural impact across multiple teams and accounts. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities: Lead architecture visioning and cross-cutting strategic initiatives across a portfolio of enterprise clients. Drive practice growth by establishing frameworks, methodologies, and reusable assets for solution delivery and consulting engagements. Build and mentor architecture and engineering teams, ensuring capability uplift and technical excellence across accounts. Act as a trusted advisor to client C-level executives and technology leaders, helping shape digital strategy and technology roadmaps. Govern architecture implementation across the portfolio to ensure alignment with best practices, maintainability, and long-term value. Delivery & Consulting Responsibilities: Lead or guide discovery phases, assessments, technical workshops, and architecture audits. Translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable, sustainable architectural solutions. Own solution proposals during pre-sales and upsales, including technical vision, high-level design, risk management, and cost estimation. Lead project execution, ensuring architecture is delivered according to vision. Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, aligning client needs with forward-thinking architectural approaches. Act as a Chief Architect and lead a team with subordinate architects on the complex accounts. Qualifications: 10+ years of relevant experience in software engineering and solution architecture. 3+ years in an architecture leadership or principal-level role within the IT service / IT consulting environment. Proven ability to lead complex, high-impact consultancy engagements with global enterprise clients. Demonstrated experience building solutions from scratch, preferably for large-scale distributed systems (team size 30+, duration 12+ months). Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, with hands-on experience in at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong background in microservices, APIs, integration patterns, and distributed system design. Track record of coaching, mentoring, and team enablement within a matrixed or consulting environment. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills—equally comfortable with engineers and executives.
