Senior Control Assurance Specialist

Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements: We need 8+ years of experience in control assurance, cybersecurity, technology risk, IT audit, compliance, risk management, or a closely related discipline. We require experience performing control testing, assessments, and walkthroughs in a regulated environment. We require experience evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of technology or cybersecurity controls. We need strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with effective stakeholder management skills. We require the ability to explain complex risk and control concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. We require a bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: experience with Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM), control automation, or data-driven assurance programs. Preferred: knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001/27002, CIS Controls, COBIT, or similar. Preferred: experience with GRC platforms such as Archer, ServiceNow GRC, or comparable tools. Preferred: knowledge of AI governance, AI risk management, and emerging technology risks. Preferred: experience creating assurance metrics, dashboards, and reporting. Preferred: professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM, CIA, or equivalent. Responsibilities: We perform control assurance activities to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of cybersecurity, technology, and fraud-related controls. We identify control gaps, determine root causes, and recommend practical remediation actions. We help build and enhance Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM) capabilities through automation, analytics, and data-driven assurance methods. We develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting that provide actionable insight into control effectiveness, coverage, and risk exposure. We partner with security, technology, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to strengthen our control environment. We support regulatory, audit, risk assessment, and policy compliance activities. We contribute to control modernization, assurance transformation, and emerging risk initiatives, including AI governance and cybersecurity assurance.
