Senior Java Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES • Design, develop and maintain enterprise integration solutions using Apache Camel and Spring Boot. • Build and deploy Camel routes and Spring Boot microservices across REST, SOAP, JMS, Kafka, AMQP, SFTP and database integrations. • Develop message routing, transformation, enrichment, validation and error-handling solutions. • Optimise application performance, reliability and scalability, including monitoring, logging and health checks. • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. • Provide 2nd/3rd-line production support, troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis. • Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Engineers and Infrastructure teams. • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews and contribute to development best practices. SKILLS NEEDED • 10+ years of experience in technology, with hands-on development and production support experience. • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Camel and Spring Boot. • Strong knowledge of Spring Cloud, Spring Data and Spring Security. • Experience with Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, REST/SOAP, JSON, XML and XSLT. • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps. • Strong experience with JUnit, Testcontainers and integration testing. • Good understanding of microservices, DDD, Agile/Scrum, DevOps and SRE principles. • Experience in incident/problem management, performance tuning and production support. • Experience with infrastructure migrations, DB/server migrations and version upgrades is an advantage. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
