Senior Java Developer (SAP BTP/CAP)

Salary: $65,000 - 102,000 per year Requirements: We require at least 7 years of hands-on experience developing software solutions. We need strong expertise in backend technologies, including Java, REST/CXF, Spring Boot, and other MVC-based frameworks. We look for practical experience with SAP BTP/CAP, including Fiori-based development using SAPUI5, OData, and CAP CDS. We expect a solid grasp of software design patterns, enterprise architecture, and data structures. We require extensive experience building web APIs and applying API-first principles such as Swagger, REST APIs, or GraphQL. We need familiarity with SAP HANA DB and at least one other relational database management system, along with strong SQL skills. We value experience with development and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet, and Chef. We look for familiarity with Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, JUnit, Karate, Postman, Qmate, qTest, and Selenium. We prefer familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure. We require strong hands-on knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML; experience with third-party logins is a plus. We require strong English communication skills, written and spoken, at B2 level or above. Responsibilities: We ensure timely delivery of application features that meet functional specifications, SAP product standards, quality expectations, and project milestones. We drive backend development using Java, REST/CXF, Spring Boot, the CAP programming model, and SQL. We actively participate in requirements reviews, design creation and peer reviews, test scenario assessment, and code reviews. We implement automated unit tests to maximize code coverage and run fully automated functional test plans covering positive and negative scenarios. We troubleshoot and deliver effective fixes for internal defects and customer issues within agreed SLAs. We collaborate closely with our Team Architect and Product Manager to translate product roadmap items into modular technical designs and help the team deliver them.
