POSITION SUMMARY The Growth Engineering team accelerates customer acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention. We run high-impact web and mobile pods that partner closely with Product, Analytics, Design, and Marketing to deliver measurable, data-driven business outcomes. Our web pods are experts in React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; our mobile pod applies the same growth loops — acquisition, activation, engagement, retention — across Android and iOS apps. We're a metrics-driven team: every feature we ship is instrumented, tested, and judged on the numbers, and we lean heavily on AI tools and workflows to increase engineering velocity, experimentation speed, and innovation. We're hiring an Android-strong senior engineer who's eager to work beyond a single platform: someone who can go deep on Android but is comfortable picking up iOS, backend, or even web work as the problem demands and as their own interests lead. You'll work closely with our web pods, backend and client engineers, product, design, analytics, and marketing to create new growth experiences for our customers. WHAT YOU'LL DO Partner with product, design, and analytics from problem definition onward — shaping what we build and why, including writing up the spec, not just implementing finished ones. Build and refine the systems that drive acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention — deciding what to test, when to ship it, and how to measure it. Work across the stack as needed — owning Android, but contributing to iOS, backend, or web (React/TypeScript) when that's where the problem lives. Work in an AI-native way — using AI coding tools and agents for cross-stack code generation, spec-driven development, and faster iteration across Android, iOS, backend, and web. Translate customer pain points and business goals into technical solutions, and push back when the data suggests a better path. Run and instrument experiments (A/B tests, funnels, activation flows, retention loops) to validate that what we ship actually moves growth metrics — and kill what doesn't. Develop a scalable architecture that enables the organization to remain agile as it expands. Drive decisions on the strategies and methodologies used in app development and testing at Brightpath Technologies. Ship iteratively — prioritize ruthlessly, scope MVPs, and balance speed against quality to get value to CMs faster. Create Unit and Automation (UI) Tests to ensure new code doesn't break existing features and meets product requirements. Own your projects end-to-end — from spec through launch and iteration — with minimal oversight. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Bachelor's (or higher, e.g., MS or PhD) in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent technical experience. 4+ years of industry experience building, shipping, and maintaining mobile applications at scale, with a strong focus on Android. A growth mindset: you care about acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention outcomes, are comfortable with ambiguity, and can take a high-level idea and shape it into a product spec. Strong ownership — you can take a project from spec to launch on your own, with good judgment about when to ask for input and when to just move. Willingness and curiosity to work across stacks — Android-strong, but ready to contribute on iOS, backend, or web rather than staying boxed into one platform. Very comfortable with AI-native development workflows — using AI coding tools and agents as a core part of how you design, build, and ship. Genuine interest in growth loops, experimentation, and metrics-driven product development. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills — you can engage product, design, marketing, and analytics partners as an equal, not just a downstream implementer.
