Your role & responsibilities
– Take ownership of existing internal software systems, applications, databases, integrations, and cloud resources.
– Review and understand codebases created by previous developers, including systems with incomplete documentation.
– Identify and resolve missing dependencies, configuration issues, defects, performance bottlenecks, and security risks.
– Stabilize, enhance, and complete the company’s priority technology systems.
– Develop, maintain, and support Python applications, RESTful APIs, SQL databases, and Azure-based services.
– Build and maintain AI-powered document-processing and workflow-automation solutions.
– Integrate AI, OCR, and LLM services to transform unstructured information into structured business data.
– Maintain and improve Microsoft solutions, including SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and related technologies.
– Implement validation processes, human-review workflows, error handling, audit logging, monitoring, and quality-control mechanisms.
– Manage service accounts, app registrations, API keys, system connections, permissions, and resource ownership.
– Ensure all source code is stored and maintained in company-controlled Git repositories.
– Prepare clear technical documentation, including system architecture, deployment procedures, testing plans, rollback procedures, operational guides, and troubleshooting instructions.
– Deploy, monitor, debug, and maintain applications in production environments.
– Train and support the company’s internal technical coordinator during the transition and handoff process.
– Provide regular written progress updates, including completed work, risks, blockers, and next steps.
– Communicate proactively and seek clarification when requirements or technical details are unclear.

Your skills & qualifications
Required Qualifications
– Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a related field.
– Strong proficiency in Python development.
– Solid experience with REST APIs, SQL databases, Git, and backend development.
– Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions and/or Azure App Service.
– Experience integrating AI, OCR, document-processing, or Large Language Model (LLM) services.
– Experience deploying, debugging, monitoring, and maintaining production applications.
– Proven ability to take over, troubleshoot, and stabilize systems developed by other engineers.
– Strong testing, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
– A security-first mindset when handling confidential financial and personal information.
– Professional written and spoken English communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and effectively during a full graveyard shift aligned with U.S. business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
– Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Dataverse, or Copilot Studio.
– Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
– Experience with PDF generation, form filling, and document-manipulation tools.
– Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, backup, and disaster-recovery practices.
– Experience working in financial services or other regulated-data environments.
– Experience developing multilingual applications.

Benefits
Working Schedule
– Remote, full-time contractor engagement for an initial three-month project.
– Monday through Friday with a one-hour break.
– Approximately 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM or 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Vietnam time), aligned with U.S. Central business hours.
– Applicants must be comfortable working a consistent overnight schedule throughout the initial contract period.
Compensation
– Base contractor fee: USD 3,500 per month.
– Completion bonus: Up to USD 3,500 based on agreed project acceptance criteria.
– Maximum total compensation for the three-month engagement: USD 14,000.
