Senior Software Security Engineer

Salary: $156000 - 297000 per year Requirements: We require a Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and at least 10 years of relevant software experience. We require hands-on experience with C and C++. We require experience with Xilinx UltraScale+ MPSoC, Versal, or comparable embedded processors. We require experience with embedded operating systems such as VxWorks, Embedded Linux, or similar platforms. We require embedded software security experience. We require the ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. security clearance before the start date. We require U.S. citizenship, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. We prefer experience with software validation and verification. We prefer knowledge of Linux/Unix environments. We prefer experience interfacing with FPGAs, low-level memory drivers, and inter-processor communication. We prefer familiarity with ARM architecture, secure boot concepts, and cryptographic algorithms. We prefer experience delivering or fielding real-time, security-focused solutions on Department of Defense programs. We prefer experience with security tools for auditing, network security, host/server security, communication security, or policy management. We prefer experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments, including Agile, Scrum, or Kanban workflows. We prefer experience with software configuration management and bug tracking tools. We prefer experience with Python or Perl. We prefer knowledge of modern hardware technologies such as PCIe, GPIO, I2C, SATA, FPGAs, and ASICs. Responsibilities: We develop world-class security software for deployed missile systems. We design, develop, integrate, and test real-time missile software, including application and embedded software. We apply system security principles to the design and implementation of missile software applications. We create software solutions in C and C++ across a range of computing platforms. We evaluate real-time software design choices and their performance impact on system security implementations. We analyze how our work affects the broader missile system and review detailed solutions at the source-code level. We partner with the Systems Security Engineering team to define and implement requirements. We work in a shared development environment that supports program capability reuse. We interface with customer stakeholders to review technical design and support verification of system maturity.
