Senior Windows Engineer

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree with 12 years of relevant experience, an associates degree with 15 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with 20 years of relevant experience. We require an active CompTIA Security+ certification. We require experience administering Active Directory and Group Policy Objects. We require experience using automation tools such as SaltStack for infrastructure automation. We require experience with VMware virtualization and VDI deployments using Omnissa Horizon, formerly VMware Horizon. We require experience with Privileged Access Management solutions, including tools such as Centrify, to support security controls and compliance. We require a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Preferred qualifications include PowerShell experience for automation and configuration management. Preferred qualifications include experience securing environments in alignment with DISA STIGs and NIST 800-53 controls. Preferred qualifications include experience with Ansible, as our environment currently uses SALT but is expected to transition to Ansible in the future. Preferred qualifications include Linux and Red Hat experience. Responsibilities: We provision, administer, and support Windows servers across online and air-gapped networks. We configure network adapters, storage, firewalls, and core connected services. We deploy monitoring solutions to identify system issues and reduce service interruptions. We conduct root cause analysis for outages and apply corrective measures to prevent recurrence. We support hardware, software, and appliance deployments, upgrades, and security patching. We convert user needs and system designs into technical specifications. We provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 support for client, server, and network issues. We manage OS patching, hardware upkeep, and account administration tasks such as password and ticket handling. We maintain on-site coverage during the expected weekday window and coordinate schedules to support meetings, deployments, and team activities. You will become part of a diverse group delivering enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce supporting mission-critical defense operations. This role supports the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization and MPOs Enterprise Information Technology backbone through the Data Center & Compute Services team, working closely with customers, Integrated Product Teams, and vendors.
