SMT Digitalization & Automation Project Lead

Job Description Software Development Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain industrial software applications supporting manufacturing operations. Develop web applications, APIs, backend services, and database solutions using approved development platforms and technologies. Implement software enhancements, bug fixes, and performance improvements for existing applications. System Integration Develop and maintain integrations between manufacturing systems, equipment, databases, MES, ERP, and enterprise applications. Design and implement secure data exchange mechanisms and APIs to support business process automation. Data Engineering & Analytics Build and maintain manufacturing data pipelines, datasets, and reporting solutions. Develop dashboards and data visualization applications to support operational monitoring and decision making. Support data collection, cleansing, validation, and transformation activities. Application Support Perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective actions for software-related issues. Monitor application health, performance, and reliability. Maintain technical documentation, source code repositories, and deployment procedures. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to automate manual processes through software and data solutions. Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency and manufacturing digitalization capabilities. Ensure compliance with software development standards, cybersecurity requirements, and digital governance policies. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering. 3–5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in leadership and project management. Preferably candidates with hands-on experience in SMT (equipment & processes). Strong team player with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in programming (Python, SQL, JavaScript) and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). Able to work independently, align with team goals, and lead by example. Flexible, cost-conscious, and committed to continuous improvement.
