System Analyst

About the role Our client, a leading regional bank, is looking for a System Analyst to turn business requirements into system solutions. You'll support the work from specification through SIT, UAT and go-live. Key Responsibilities • Primary work comprises requirements analysis and translating them into system specifications, mapping design and solutions, conducting SIT, supporting UAT and supporting post-implementation. • Design and document system in accordance with the company's Systems Development Methodology - e.g., Functional Specifications, Design Specifications, SIT Scripts, etc. • Work closely with Business Units, users and technology teams to understand requirements, analyse business processes, identify gaps and solutions. • Collaborate with Functional Business Analysts and technical teams to design and help implement enhancements, new features, and address and fix current issues. • Facilitate communication between stakeholders when necessary and track progress on action items. • Instruct colleagues and key stakeholders on how to use the system through demos, training programs and documents. Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field. • At least 6 years' relevant experience, preferably in a Financial Institution. • Analytical skills: able to analyse data, requirements and gaps to review and identify areas for improvements and solutions. • Attention to detail: able to identify potential errors, discrepancies and problem areas. • Good communicator: strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex terminology in layman's terms. • Interpersonal skills: able to build good working relationships with various stakeholders; patient and active listener. • Time management: able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines. • Proactive and team player: can actively track deliverables and collaborate with colleagues when needed. • Advanced MS Office knowledge - PowerPoint for presentations, Word for documentation, Excel for data analysis/computing. • Strong documentation writing skills and presentation ability. • Know-how in new system development or project implementation environments.
