About the role We are looking for an experienced Application Lead – IBM z/OS Systems Administration to lead technical teams responsible for the administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of IBM mainframe environments. The successful candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in IBM z/OS Systems Administration, with strong expertise in IBM WebSphere MQ / IBM MQ. The role requires strong technical leadership, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and the ability to provide solutions across multiple teams. Key responsibilities Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IBM z/OS Systems Administration and IBM WebSphere MQ. Lead and coordinate technical teams to ensure effective delivery and performance. Make technical and team-level decisions related to application and systems administration. Collaborate with multiple technical and business teams on key decisions and initiatives. Provide solutions to complex technical problems within the immediate team and across multiple teams. Lead application development, configuration, and implementation activities. Coordinate with stakeholders to understand technical and business requirements. Oversee application design, construction, configuration, and implementation. Monitor and troubleshoot IBM mainframe environments and related applications. Ensure projects and technical deliverables are completed within agreed timelines. About you Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in IBM Systems Administration. Strong experience in IBM z/OS Systems Administration. Strong hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere MQ / IBM MQ. Experience working with IBM Mainframe environments is strongly preferred. Proven experience leading or managing technical/development teams. Strong understanding of application development and systems administration processes. Knowledge of software architecture and design principles. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
