Golang Engineer

We are seeking a Go Engineer (long-term) for our US client - an established market leader with over 50 years of experience in the PropTech and home services industry. Our customer specialize in transforming the way homeowners maintain, repair, and protect their properties from unexpected and costly breakdowns. At the core of their business is a comprehensive ecosystem that combines traditional home service subscription plans covering essential home systems and appliances with cutting-edge digital products. They develop an innovative, one-stop mobile app powered by real-time video streaming technology, which instantly connects homeowners with pre-qualified remote experts to diagnose and troubleshoot household issues live. Working hours: usually until 5:30 / 6 pm CET.
Requirements:
Min. 3 years of experience as a Golang Developer. Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases such as OracleDB and MongoDB. Familiarity with Protobuf/JSON. Hands-on experience with Redis. Knowledge of Kafka. Nice to have: A degree in Computer Science or a related field. Familiarity with the Elastic Observability Platform.

Daily tasks: - Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions in Go.
– Perform thorough testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure quality, security, and maintainability.
– Optimize applications for performance and efficiency, leveraging Go’s concurrency features.
– Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
