Principal Software Engineer, Test Solutions

Salary: $107,500 - 204,500 per year Requirements: We typically require a bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) plus at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related discipline plus at least 5 years of experience. We need experience developing and integrating software applications with languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic. We need experience using integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementations and protect software integrity. We require prior experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Visual Studio. We require the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance, and U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility. Preferred experience includes laboratory test instrumentation, electronics, and software tools such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and digital multimeters. Preferred experience includes computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques. Preferred experience includes developing software drivers for computer hardware interfaces. Responsibilities: We design, develop, and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows. We prioritize and manage multiple software engineering assignments at the same time. We troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation. We collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team. We develop and derive requirements for software products. We lead and mentor junior software engineers.
